From The Camera Obscura Club:

The original album Hana Yori Dango (花より団子) was released in March 2019 in the extinct doujin circle Duktig, formed by a group of friends sharing their passions. I talked to lia;quo and suggested the idea of releasing a deluxe edition with new music and better mixing/mastering process. Surprisingly, she agreed and we started to work on this album since January 2022.
I am so proud of the final product. We managed to convince Quadrivia to finish one of her demos (Utopia) and talked to our collaborators to produce new versions of some tracks.
This Hana Yori Dango (Hikikomori Deluxe) is a very different experience from the original release.

From lia;quo:
The Hikikomori concept comes from my own experiences after the pandemic. I barely went out and the air inside my apartment was kinda dense. Now the pandemic is almost over, but it feels kinda weird to go out and I started to hate the sun. Even this "remastered" versions were shared online, not even a little of human contact. Surprisingly, we managed to make a more emotional product and I absolutely loved the Namikawa's work on the mixdown. She suggested some changes with the drum samples or even re-recording of some samples.
I could finally achieve this "industry quaity" I was aiming for and I hope you notice that too.
